Administrative Announcement

The outdoor areas including Taipei Sports Park, Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium, Taipei City Tennis Center, and National Taiwan University Sports Center, will be designated as non-smoking areas from May 1, 2025, except for designated smoking zones. Areas without designated smoking zones will be entirely non-smoking.

I. In accordance with Article 154, Paragraph 1 of the Administrative Procedure Act and Article 19, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 4 of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act.

II. To protect the public's right to be free from secondhand smoke and to create outdoor smoke-free environments, the Taipei City Department of Health, in accordance with Article 19, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 4 of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act, hereby announces that "Outdoor areas within Taipei Sports Park, Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium, Taipei Tennis Center, and the National Taiwan University Sports Center, starting from May 1, 2025, shall be designated as non-smoking areas, except for designated smoking areas. Where no smoking areas are established, smoking shall be prohibited throughout the premises." The details are as follows:

(I) Outdoor areas and sidewalks surrounding Taipei Sports Park: The no-smoking zone is bounded by Nanjing East Road Section 4, Bei Ning Road, Bade Road Section 3, and Dunhua North Road in Songshan District, including Taipei Stadium, Taipei Municipal Stadium, Taipei Arena, Taipei Songshan Sports Center, Taipei Tennis Center, Taipei Warm-up Field, Taipei City Government Department of Sports, Taipei City Government Police Department Songshan Precinct, Taipei City Government Department of Rapid Transit Systems Second Engineering Office, and Taipei City Cultural Affairs Bureau (see attached map for no-smoking zone).

(II) Outdoor areas surrounding Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium.

(III) Outdoor areas and sidewalks in front of Taipei Tennis Center (adjacent to Minquan East Road Section 6, Neihu District).

(IV) Sidewalks surrounding the National Taiwan University Sports Center.

III. Any violation of the smoking prohibition in the aforementioned non-smoking areas will be subject to a fine of NT$2,000 to NT$10,000 in accordance with Article 40, Paragraph 2 of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act.
