Notice of the "2026-2027 8th Science Popularization Reading Competition" registration deadline: Registration for the "2026-2027 8th Science Popularization Reading Competition" will close at 12:00 PM on November 27, 115.

I. To enhance students' interest in science popularization reading and cultivate their reading comprehension and self-learning abilities, the Research Center for Chinese Language and Technology at National Taiwan Normal University, in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Council, is organizing the "2026-2027 8th Science Popularization Reading Competition." Through reading tasks and AI reading ability assessments, the competition aims to guide students in developing consistent reading habits and improving their science popularization literacy.

II.Registration for this competition will close at 12:00 PM on November 27, 115 (Friday).We encourage students to seize the registration deadline and participate actively. Upon completion of the assigned tasks, participating students will receive a certificate of completion, with additional awards and prizes for outstanding performance.

III. Competition information is as follows:

(I) Registration Period: From 12:00 PM on September 14, 115 to 12:00 PM on November 27, 115.

(II) Participants: Students from 3rd grade of elementary school to 8th grade of junior high school, and 10th grade of senior high school.

(III) Registration Method:

1. School Group Registration: School teachers can register through the "School Group Registration Plan" on the official competition website at:https://reurl.cc/Vnb4aZ.
2. Individual Registration and General Group Registration: Please register through the "Individual Registration" or "General Group Registration" section on the official competition website at:https://reurl.cc/AXv0qK.
3. General group registrations and school group registrations that reach a specified number of participants are eligible to participate in the "Group Registration Lucky Draw for Books.com.tw Gift Vouchers" activity. Please refer to the official competition website for details.

(IV) Key Competition Schedule:

1. Pre-competition Test: December, 115.
2. Reading Tasks: From 12:00 PM on January 11, 116 to 12:00 PM on April 2, 116. Participants will read designated books and articles according to their group's regulations and complete post-reading assessments on the official competition website.
3. Post-competition Test: April, 116.
