I. The principles for organizing the event are as follows:
(1) Participants: In-service science (physics, chemistry, biology, earth science) teachers from public and private junior high schools nationwide. High school teachers are also welcome, but their designs must be tailored for junior high school curricula.
(2) Competition Rules:
1. Diversified assessment embedded in the curriculum, primarily emphasizing the concepts of process-oriented and formative assessment to guide and provide feedback on student learning. To cultivate the diverse core competencies stipulated in the General Curriculum Guidelines and the learning focuses outlined in the Science Curriculum Guidelines, assessment tasks should include a variety of formats as much as possible (e.g., digital online assessment tasks, inquiry-based and hands-on practical assessment tasks, and project tasks completed collaboratively by groups). This competition aims for teachers to develop 2-4 hours of diversified teaching materials and assessment tasks, along with interactive multimedia teaching materials.
2. After a nationwide call for submissions, a review committee composed of university professors and experienced teachers will evaluate the entries to select outstanding lesson plans.
3. For each of the four subjects, 3-6 outstanding lesson plans that align with the core unit themes will be selected, totaling 12-24 selected lesson plans, to serve as references for subsequent digital material development.
